At Code Ezy, we aim to provide reliable products, straightforward ordering and dependable service to our wholesale and trade customers throughout Australia.
This Shipping & Returns Policy explains how we manage order dispatch, delivery, product returns, refunds and warranty claims.
We understand that incorrect product selections, compatibility issues and occasional product faults can occur. Our aim is to resolve these matters fairly and efficiently.
This policy should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under applicable Australian law.
Code Ezy supplies aftermarket garage door and gate remotes, receivers and related accessories to trade customers throughout Australia.
We arrange delivery using postal and courier services suited to the order and delivery location.
Delivery availability may depend on the customer’s location, the size of the order and the services offered by our freight providers.
If you require delivery to a regional or remote location, please contact us to confirm the available shipping arrangements.
We aim to process and dispatch orders promptly once they have been accepted and any required payment arrangements have been completed.
Dispatch times may vary depending on product availability, order quantities and operational requirements.
Orders containing products that are temporarily unavailable may require additional processing time.
If a significant delay or stock issue is identified, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
Please contact Code Ezy if you require confirmation of stock availability or dispatch timing before placing an order.
Shipping charges are determined according to the order, delivery location and applicable freight arrangements.
Any applicable shipping charges will be communicated before an order is accepted.
Additional charges may apply to remote delivery areas, larger consignments or special freight requirements.
Where a customer requests a particular delivery service, we will advise whether that service is available and any additional costs involved.
Delivery timeframes depend on the destination, freight provider and shipping service used.
Any estimated delivery timeframe provided by Code Ezy is indicative unless a specific delivery commitment has been agreed.
Delivery may be affected by:
We will provide reasonable assistance if an order is delayed or a delivery issue arises.
Where an order cannot be supplied within an agreed or otherwise reasonable timeframe, we will work with the customer to resolve the matter in accordance with the applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information when placing an order.
This includes the recipient’s name, business name where applicable, delivery address and contact details.
If incorrect delivery information is supplied, additional freight or redelivery charges may apply where reasonably incurred and permitted by law.
Tracking information will be provided where available from the selected freight service.
Customers should contact us if they have difficulty locating a shipment or require assistance with delivery.
We recommend checking your order when it arrives to confirm that the correct products and quantities have been supplied.
If an order arrives damaged, contains incorrect items or is missing products, please contact Code Ezy as soon as reasonably practical.
To assist with resolving the issue, we may request:
We will review the information and, where appropriate, liaise with the freight provider.
If Code Ezy has supplied an incorrect product or an order is damaged or lost during delivery, we will work to provide an appropriate resolution, which may include replacement, resupply or refund according to the circumstances and applicable law.
Customers will not be required to pay additional charges to correct an error for which Code Ezy is responsible.
We aim to handle product returns fairly and with minimal inconvenience.
Returns generally fall into the following categories:
The return options available depend on the reason for the return, the circumstances of the purchase and any applicable statutory rights.
Customers should contact Code Ezy before sending products back so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.
This process helps us identify the order and assess the return efficiently.
Customers should check product compatibility, model numbers and specifications before ordering.
We understand that mistakes can occur when selecting garage door remotes, receivers and related accessories.
Where a customer has ordered an incorrect product, no longer requires an item or changes their mind, Code Ezy may consider a return on a case-by-case basis.
Discretionary returns are subject to prior approval.
When considering a discretionary return, we may take into account:
Any applicable return conditions or charges will be communicated before the discretionary return is approved.
Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for return freight costs associated with an approved change-of-mind or incorrectly ordered product.
These discretionary return conditions do not apply where a customer is entitled to a remedy under Australian law.
Code Ezy supplies a range of aftermarket remote controls and receivers designed for use with compatible garage door and gate systems.
Product compatibility can depend on frequency, coding technology, receiver configuration and programming requirements.
A remote that does not operate immediately may require additional programming or compatibility checks.
If you experience difficulty programming a product, please contact us for technical assistance.
We may request the remote model, receiver or motor details and a description of the programming issue to help identify the cause.
Where a product does not match its description, does not provide compatibility expressly represented by Code Ezy or is otherwise defective, we will assess the matter under our warranty and applicable legal obligations.
Where the customer has independently selected a product that is incompatible with their system, without an incorrect representation by Code Ezy, any return will be considered under our discretionary returns arrangements.
If you believe a product is faulty, please contact Code Ezy with your purchase details and a description of the problem.
We may initially assist with troubleshooting to determine whether the issue relates to programming, compatibility, installation or a product fault.
Where necessary, we may request that the product be returned for assessment.
Once the issue has been assessed, we will advise the available remedy.
Where Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees apply, the appropriate remedy depends on the nature of the failure.
For a major failure, the customer may be entitled to choose a replacement or refund.
For a failure that is not major, Code Ezy may be entitled to provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.
Where consumer guarantees do not apply, any remedy will be determined under the applicable warranty and contractual arrangements.
We will not require customers to return faulty products in their original packaging as a condition of exercising statutory consumer rights.
Code Ezy provides a 12-month replacement warranty on the products we supply.
This warranty is an additional commitment provided by Code Ezy and operates alongside any rights available under Australian law.
The warranty covers qualifying product defects arising within 12 months from the original date of purchase.
Proof of purchase may be required to verify the product and purchase date.
The replacement warranty covers products that develop faults attributable to defects in materials, manufacturing or normal product operation during the warranty period.
Where a product is confirmed to have a defect covered by this warranty, Code Ezy will arrange a replacement product.
If the original product is no longer available, we will discuss an appropriate equivalent replacement or alternative resolution.
The voluntary replacement warranty does not cover product problems caused by:
These exclusions apply only to the extent that the relevant problem was caused by the excluded circumstance.
They do not remove any statutory rights that may apply, including where a product was defective, instructions were inadequate or Code Ezy supplied incorrect information.
To submit a warranty claim, contact:

Please provide your order or invoice details, the product model and a description of the fault.
Photographs or other supporting information may help us assess the issue.
We may provide troubleshooting assistance or request that the product be returned for inspection.
Where a return is required, we will provide instructions and the appropriate return address.
After receiving sufficient information or the returned product, we will assess the reported fault within a reasonable timeframe.
If the fault is covered by the 12-month replacement warranty, we will arrange a replacement.
If the product is found to be operating correctly or the problem is outside the voluntary warranty coverage, we will explain the assessment outcome and any available options.
The warranty does not limit any additional remedies that may be required under applicable law.
Return freight arrangements depend on the reason for the return and the customer’s applicable rights.
For approved change-of-mind returns or incorrectly selected products, the customer will generally be responsible for return freight costs.
Where Code Ezy has supplied an incorrect item, we will arrange or cover reasonable return freight required to correct our error.
Where Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees apply and a product fault is confirmed, Code Ezy will reimburse reasonable return costs where required by law.
Customers should retain postage receipts where reimbursement may be applicable.
For claims made solely under Code Ezy’s voluntary replacement warranty, return and replacement freight arrangements will be confirmed as part of the warranty claim process.
Customers should obtain return instructions before sending products back.
Where a refund is required by law or agreed by Code Ezy, we will process it within a reasonable timeframe.
Refunds will generally be made using the original payment method unless another arrangement is agreed.
Where a replacement is appropriate, we will arrange supply of the replacement product once the claim has been assessed and approved.
If an identical replacement is unavailable, we will discuss the available alternatives.
For discretionary returns, any approved deductions or return charges will be communicated before the customer proceeds.
No discretionary handling or restocking fee will be applied to a refund or remedy where doing so would conflict with applicable statutory rights.
Code Ezy primarily supplies wholesale and trade customers.
Some purchases made by businesses are covered by Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees, while others, including goods purchased for resupply, may be excluded.
The application of consumer guarantees depends on the circumstances of the transaction.
Where consumer guarantees apply, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or compensation according to the nature of the problem.
These rights exist independently of Code Ezy’s 12-month replacement warranty and may continue beyond the voluntary warranty period.
Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
